Tyler Allen Wendt, beloved son and devoted father, was born on February 1, 1994, in Mankato, MN, to Allen and Colleen Wendt. He spent his childhood in Amboy and graduated from Maple River High School in 2012. Tyler was a man of many talents and had a diverse work history in the area, always bringing his unique energy and spirit to each job. Tyler had a passion for life that was beautifully reflected in his love for fishing, woodworking, and spending precious time with his daughters. He cherished family summer vacations, where they would often pack up the pop-up camper for unforgettable trips to breathtaking places like Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon as well as many others, making memories along the way. In addition to his passions, Tyler was a dedicated martial artist, earning his second-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do at the age of 12, showcasing his determination and discipline in all aspects of his life. Tyler passed away on February 21, 2026, leaving behind a loving family that includes his parents Allen and Colleen of Amboy, his sister Megan (Mike) Baedke and their daughter Grace of Garretson, SD, his precious daughters, Blake October Wendt (her mother Lizzy Severns) and Lillian Aurora Wendt (her mother Jacqi Peterson) as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends. His memory will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents; Wallace and Darlene Thompson and Marlyn and Delores Wendt and his uncle Curtis Thompson.

A celebration of Tyler’s life will take place at 11am Tuesday March 3, 2026 at Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth, where his family and friends will share stories, laughter, and memories in his honor. We invite all who knew Tyler to join in remembering the joy he brought to our lives. Visitation will be one hour before the service.
