Thomas Dean Vannurden Sr.

Thomas Dean Vannurden Sr, age 81, of Elmore, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at Elmore Assisted Living. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth is entrusted with arrangements.

Thomas was born on April 21, 1939 in Kimball to George and Lilly (Olson) Vannurden. He attended and graduated from Kimball High School. Thomas was enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he was an aircraft mechanic.

Tom enjoyed life.

He is survived by his sons, Thomas Jr. of Pennsylvania, and William (Ann Mehr) of Minnesota; daughter, Joanne Hatten of Georgia; stepchildren, Suzanne (Steve) Spencer, Becky Wyatt, Mindy Hennigan, and Kit Owensby, all of Georgia; 8 grandchildren and 6 greatgrandchildren.

Thomas is preceded in death by his parents, wives, brothers, Bernard, Jim, Walter, Dennis, Leland, Aciel, and Harland Vannurden; sisters, Carrie Stelton, Leona Meyers, Betsy Stelton, Vera Mae Donnay, Loretta Olson, Rose Ann Donnay, and twin sisters, Beulah Worcester and Blanche Miller.
