With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Thomas William Steinke of Blue Earth. Tom left us on December 26, 2025, at the age of 73. A memorial visitation will be held at Patton Funeral Home on Friday, January 9, 2026 from 5-7pm. Burial will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Tom was born on September 9, 1952, in New Ulm, Minnesota to Rueben and Gloria (Glaser) Steinke. He attended New Ulm High School, and later went on to proudly serve in the United States Navy. Tom was a vibrant spirit known for his fun-loving nature, entrepreneurial spirit, and dedication as a father. He supported his son's activities, coaching sports, and assisting with Cub Scout and Boy Scout activities and camping trips. He successfully operated Laser Cartridge ReManufacturing in Blue Earth, MN, specializing in laser printer services for several businesses across Southern Minnesota.
Left behind to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Cynthia Steinke; sons Adam (Lindsey) of North Mankato, Keith of North Mankato, Scott (Mary) of Blue Earth and Cole of Savage; grandchildren Kyle, Ryan, Breanna, William, Genevieve, and Lincoln.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Reuben and Gloria Steinke, sister Toni, and brother Michael.
