Steven Haines

Steve Fredrick Haines, 81, of Blue Earth passed away peacefully on June 18, 2025 in Hospice at United Hospital District. He was born on December 17, 1943 in Minneapolis, MN. Steve was a traveler, an avid Scrabble player and conversationalist. He loved visits from family and friends most of all.

Steve was an entrepreneur and only recently closed his beloved business.

Steve was a man of God, and he was completely prepared to meet His Savior. While we grieve our loss of Steve’s presence in our lives, we rejoice knowing that he is in the presence of the Lord.

Steve is survived by his wife Carol, his brother Mike (Sue), his seven children - Kevin (Nancy), Darwin (Jana), Alan (Stephanie), Lisa (Dan), Brent (Mai), Elizabeth (Mike), and Sean (Katie), 22 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Mildred Haines, his sister Beverly Hagen (Elroy), brothers Darwin Haines (Gerry) and Dick Haines (Donna) and his grandaughter Alissa Haines.

Steve’s Celebration of Life will be in Blue Earth on June 29th at 1:00 PM at the Life Family Church 111 South Ramsey Street.
