Sarah Jane Winters

Sarah Winters (Pauline Kenne) died Thursday November 15, 2018 at Pheasant Ridge Assisted Living in St. Peter. A memorial service to celebrate her life is planned for Monday November 19, 2018 at 1 PM at Patton Funeral Home, 400 E. 14th Street in Blue Earth. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  www.PattonFH.com Sarah was born August 3, 1941 to William and Margaret (DeSutter) DeSmet and grew up on the family farm near Minneota. She married Gene Burt in 1961, they later divorced. She moved to Mankato after graduating and worked various jobs while raising Angela and Jon. She enjoyed the outdoors; fishing and gardening and indoors; canning, sewing, cooking and dancing. After marrying the love of her life, Bill Kenne on September 27, 1975, they made their home in Blue Earth where Aimee filled their lives. After Bill’s passing, Sarah moved to St. Peter where she enjoyed her final days. Sarah is survived by her children, Angela (Marty) Dolloff, Jon (Dera) Burt, Aimee (BJ Tesch) Kenne, Sharon Kenne Abrahamson and Steve Kenne; Ten grandchildren, Andrea, Audrey, Eric, Jeffrey, Chadwick, Daniel, Richard, Scott, Jeremy and Christopher; one great-grandson, Hunter; Her siblings, Larry (Pam) DeSmet, Ben (Anne) DeSmet, Ron (Brenda) DeSmet, Susie Paul, Jerry (Mary) DeSmet, Margie (Butch) Dahl, Joan (Vinnie) Hennen and Jeff DeSmet; along with several nieces, nephews and friends. Sarah is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, Sister Deanna Rose Marie Archer and infant sister Julian.A special thank you to the nurses and daughter Aimee for the exceptional care they have shown in the past years.
