Ruth L. Wimsett, age 96, of Blue Earth formerly of Elmore, died Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at St. Lukes Lutheran Care Center. Visitation time will be 1 hour before the service at St Lukes Chapel.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 23, 2018, at 11:00 AM, at St Lukes Chapel in Blue Earth, with Rev. Mark Brickzin officiating.  Burial will be in Prairie Township Chapel Cemetery, Scottland, IL.  Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.com Ruth was born December 6, 1921, at Lanark, IL, the daughter of John G. and Anna (Heinrich) Volz. Ruth is survived by her step-daughter Wanda K. Edelman, sister-in-law Bee Volz, 7 step-grandchildren, numerous step-great-grandchildren, step-great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Ruth is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, sister Violet Wilson, brothers Robert and James Volz, step-son Morton D. Wimsett, sister-in-law LaVonne, brother-in-law Jim Wilson. As per Ruth’s wishes in lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the donor’s choice in Ruth’s name.
