Ronald H. Lawrence, age 99 of Blue Earth passed away surrounded by his family on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Care Center. Funeral services will be 11AM on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Blue Earth with Rev. Michael Klatt officiating. Visitation will be Friday, August 29th from 5-7PM at Patton Funeral Home and one hour before the service. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Blue Earth. Ronnie was born on December 26, 1925 in Blue Earth to Dean and Carrie (Schafer) Lawrence. He graduated from Blue Earth High School and began his lifelong legacy of farming. He spent four years courting Maxine Ziegler before getting married June 2, 1946 at St. John’s Church. Together they raised 2 children on their farm outside of Blue Earth. Ron was hardworking, kind, and tender hearted.
Ron was a member of the Blue Earth Farmers Elevator, secretary-treasurer of the Minnesota Cattleman Association, a trustee board member at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, and a member of the Blue Earth Creamery Board. He loved golfing, traveling, and dancing with Maxine. The couple took many trips to Texas, they also traveled to Florida, Hawaii and Alaska. They shared their faith by reading devotions together every night and had a very special connection.
Left to cherish so many years of wonderful memories are his son Steve (Gerdane) Lawrence of Blue Earth, daughter Mary (Harold) Hill of Mountain City, TX, his grandchildren Chad (Angie) Lawrence, Amanda (Bret) Kiester and Dave Redepenning, 9 great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren as well as many other nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Maxine, his parents, brothers, Delmar (Sophie), Virgil (Lila), and Maynard (Justine), granddaughter Sara Redepenning, daughter-in-law Berneda Lawrence, and nephews, Wayne Lawrence, Bruce Lawrence, and niece, Joyce Hubard.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
