Phyllis Pearl Nagel, age 93 of Delavan, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2025 at United Hospital District in Blue Earth. Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Sunday, November 9, 2025 at Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth, with Rev. Fretham officiating. A time for visitation will be held an hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Emerald Township.
Phyllis was born June 4, 1932 to Edwin and Florence Rowley in East Chain, MN. She attended school in East Chain. On March 1, 1953, she married Arnold “Arnie” Nagel, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Emerald Township, Faribault County. They farmed for several years in Barber Township. After raising their family, Phyllis worked as a cook at the Delavan Public School, later working in the kitchen at St. Luke’s Lutheran Home. Phyllis loved to bake chocolate chip cookies and always had them on hand at the farm, along with several candy dishes. Phyllis had large gardens and would can the produce. She also loved watching birds.
Phyllis is survived by her children; Doug (Becky) of Blue Earth, Galen (Donna) of Blue Earth, Marsha (Larry) Paul of Easton, Patricia Tibodeau of Brewster, Brenda (Phil) Wakey of East Chain, and Paula (Kevin) McGowan of Sioux Falls, SD, Seventeen grandchildren, Forty-four great grandchildren, and sister; Carol Zimmer of Fairmont.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Arnie, her parents, two sisters and two brother-in-laws, and a great grandson.
