Patricia Elbert

February 3, 1939 — December 24, 2019

Patricia J. Elbert, age 80, passed away December 24, 2019 at Lakeview Methodist Care Center in Fairmont, MN due to complications from a stroke. Visitation will be Friday December 27th from 5-7 at Patton Funeral Home and continue one hour before the service at the church. A memorial service will be held at 10:30am Saturday December 28, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Winnebago with Rev. Daren Barnett officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. 

She was born February 3, 1939 in West Burlington, Iowa. Daughter of Worth and Katherine Hudspeth. Former wife of Roderick Elbert.

Pat lived in California, Illinois, Iowa, Germany and finally Minnesota.  She graduated  from Elmore High School in 1957 and worked as a daycare provider for many years. 

Pat was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She embraced every moment with them. She loved vacationing in Florida with her siblings, going for walks and dining out. She had a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh. She will always be on our minds and in our hearts. 

Left to cherish her memory, children, Paige (Joe) Jelen, Farmington, MN, Rod (Peg) Elbert, Fairmont, MN, Melissa (Buck) King, Blue Earth, MN, Kara (John) Schott, Chatfield, MN; Grandchildren, Dylan (Kala) Jelen, Cassidy Jelen, Ryan (Sam) Elbert, Leah (Nick) Nathe, Whitney (Ryan) Foster, Taryn King, Jaron (fiancée Taylor) King, Lucas (Sidney) Schott, Lexi Schott, Levi Schott; Great grandchildren, Carson, Nora, Henry, Louie, Abel, Kynlee and Kennedy; Siblings, Betty (Bob) Scallon, Boscobel, WI, Joyce Kunkle, New Berlin, WI, Dennis (Patty) Hudspeth, Algona, IA and many nieces and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by her parents,her brothers Bud, Bob, Bill, Terry and Tom. Sisters-in-law, Kaylene and Marilyn.
