Nancy Lloyd

Nancy Lloyd, age 87 formerly of Elmore passed away Tuesday August 15, 2023, at the Timely Mission Nursing Home in Buffalo Center, IA. A private family service will be held. Online condolences can be left at www.pattonfh.com.

Nancy was born November 9, 1935 to Bertha and Earl Eichhorn. She had wonderful memories of family events enjoying singing, while her mother played the piano, and her father played the guitar.

There were 12 children in the Eichhorn family, Marjorie, James, Beryl, Jack, Nancy, Neil, Lee, Mark, Susan, Judy, Sally and Leslie. Five of her siblings predeceased her James, Beryl, Jack, Neil, & Lee.

Nancy was married to Dean Lloyd in 1955. They had four children Rose, Doug, Lori & Bruce. Bruce is deceased. She was the grandmother to four grandchildren, Mary Oleszek, Alissa Atkinson, Justin Lloyd, & Eric Lloyd.  She had six great grandchildren.

Nancy enjoyed working as a nurse’s aide at the Rochester St. Mary’s hospital prior to her marriage. She also worked as a rural mail carrier in Darien, WI, J & B Garden Center in Delevan, WI & Libby’s Frozen foods, Darien, WI in the quality control area.  She was a wonderful mother, compassionate, with a great sense of humor and she was renowned for her pot roasts on Sunday after church and wacky cake. 

She will be laid to rest at Riverview Cemetery in Elmore.
