Nadine Ann (Kruse) Wickersham-Krull was born January 5, 1937, to William and Louise (Rudloff) Kruse in George, IA.  Following graduation from George High School, she attended Augustana University in Sioux Falls, SD where she earned her teaching certification. Many years later she attended Mankato State University where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in education. Her first teaching job brought her to Sioux City, IA, where she met her future husband, William Wickersham. On August 16, 1958, she married William (Bill) Wickersham in George, IA. In 1963, they moved to Blue Earth, MN. where she taught in Delavan, MN. Her teaching career eventually led her to Winnebago, MN. where she enjoyed teaching 6th grade until her retirement.

Bill passed away on June 20, 1991. On June 4, 1994, she married Wilfred (Bill) Krull, he passed away one year later, on August 21, 1995.

Her greatest love was spending time with her family and friends. She was the best wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend, and coworker that anyone could ever dream of having. If you knew Nadine, you were friends for life! She was always on the go and treasured every moment spent with her family, friends, bridge, coffee, and church groups, and pretty much anyone she met.

She was always ready and willing to volunteer to help whenever and wherever needed, including the UHD Hospital Auxiliary and many other organizations over her lifetime. She received several community recognitions including, Teacher of the Year, The Mitchell Chautaugua’s Woman of Achievement Award, and the Blue Earth Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year Award. She was also an avid traveler and visited many of the US states and several foreign countries.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Debra Lacher and son, Mark (Sheila) Wickersham.
