Michael Gunzenhauser passed away on October 23, 2019 at his home in Winnebago at the age of 66.
Funeral services for Michael will take place at 11am on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at the First Presbyterian Church in Winnebago. Visitation times will be from 5-7pm on Friday at Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth and one hour prior to the service at church. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.com.
Since moving to Winnebago in the early 80’s, Michael worked for Cargill, City of Winnebago as a police officer, Ag Distributing of Amboy, and then started his own business, Mike’s Ag in 1997. Michael is the proud father of 2 boys, Chris and Rob. His grandchildren, Jeffery, Emma, Carter, Jacob, Matthew, and Logan were his pride and joy – along with Akia and Kyle Perry.
Michael was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Winnebago and Presbyterian Men’s Club.
Mike is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sheryl; children, Chris (Vanessa) Gunzenhauser of Winnebago, Rob (Kristina) Gunzenhauser of Winnebago, Amanda Gunzenhauser of Winnebago, and Heather Doran of Minnesota; 8 grandchildren; sisters, Connie (Mark) Cooper of Florida, Barb (Greg) Schulz of Wisconsin; brother-in-law’s, Larry (Tammy) Yackley, Kipp (Karen) Yackley, Todd (Penny) Yackley, James (Bonnie) Yackley all of Minnesota; sister-in-law’s, Susan (Johnny) Lujan of Wyoming, Bobbi (Cory) Richards of Minnesota; nephews, Derek, AJ, Brandon, Brent, Bryan, Tanner, Sawyer, Nathanial, Marcus, Devyn, Tim, and Shawn; nieces, Willow, Andrea, Joanna, and Rachel; and many great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arlen and Margaret Gunzenhauser, grandparents, several aunts and uncles, and a nephew.
At Mike’s request – Please no suits, come dressed as you would daily. He loved his Carhartt shirts and jeans.
