Marcy was born October 26, 1948 to Luke and Aggie (Vortherms) Konz in Adrian, MN. She was one of six children. She graduated high school in 1966 and then went on to a technical school in Omaha. On May 17, 1969 she married her high school sweetheart, Harry Scholtes. They were blessed with four children. Together they all enjoyed traveling in their camper and taking family trips as well as being very involved in all of the children’s activities. They were married for 26 years before Harry’s death in 1995.

She was a very caring and loving mom, who also told you like it is. Marcy enjoyed sewing, ironing, and cooking. Her other hobbies included cards, watching demo derby, and entertaining. Marcy took great pride in her newly remodeled home. She also enjoyed shopping and kept well stocked on treats and snacks for her grandkids. She would’ve done anything for them and enjoyed telling them stories. Marcy was a great storyteller and had a great memory and recollection of the past.

Marcy is survived by her son, Rick (Sue) Scholtes of Blue Earth, and their children, Tyler, Amanda Tolzmann, and Malarie; daughter, Lori Nelson of Winnebago, and her children, Isabella, Elisabeth, and Alexandra; son, John (Erin) Scholtes of Mankato, and their children, Abigail, Luke, and Lily; and daughter, Connie Cradick (Ryan) of Oronoco, and their children, Makenzie, Keaden, Kaylor, and Carson; brother, Bob (Janine) Konz of Crystal; and sisters, Pat (Jim) Hutchinson of Las Vegas, NV, and Bev (Mike) Metz of Adrian.

Marcy is preceded in death by her husband, Harry; granddaughter, Makayla Cradick; parents, Luke and Aggie Konz; and infant siblings, Billy & Vonnie.
