Lucy Chavez Briseño

Lucy Chavez Briseño, age 84, of Elmore, MN, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family at 2:30PM on Monday, March 5, 2018.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11AM on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church of Blue Earth, MN.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.   Lucy Juaquina Chavez Briseño (August 16, 1933) daughter, sister, wife, grandma, great-grandma, Auntie, godmother, and foster mother. No matter what role Lucy played in our lives she touched many hearts and showed us unconditional love and compassion.  She dedicated her life to her parents, José and Paula Chavez and then to her husband, Benito and her five children.  Lucy was always faithful to her husband and never left his side even in sickness and in health and until death did she part. Lucy is preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, and 5 sisters. Lucy is survived by her husband of 65 years, Benito; children, Yolanda (Tim) Long, Benito (Diana) Briseño, Paula (Tim) Stevens, Ramon (Mona) Briseño, Raquel (Brendan) McNellis; 24 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; 3 brother; and many other loving nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
