Lois Wiborg

Lois Jane Wiborg, age 80 of Blue Earth, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 in Mankato. A memorial service will be held at 11am on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blue Earth. A time for visitation will take place one hour prior to the service.

Lois was born on July 10, 1941 in Truman to Arthur and Elvera (Jahnz) Block. She attended Truman High School and then went on to the New Ulm Hospital to get further education and become a nurse. Lois worked at the New Ulm Hospital, University of Minnesota Hospital, Fairmont Hospital, Springfield Hospital, and settled at the United Hospital District in Blue Earth, working as a nurse there for 42 years. Lois was married to Leslie G. Wiborg on October 10, 1964 in Truman. The couple would be blessed with three children. Lois was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Blue Earth.

She enjoyed dancing, fishing, antique shopping with her friends, and most of all, spending time with her family.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Liesl (John) Wiborg of St. Louis Park, Lance (Joni) Wiborg of Kasota, and Layne (Megan) Wiborg of Walnut Grove; grandsons, Max and Sam Wiborg; and brothers, Larry (Janice) Block of Anoka, and Roger (Anita) Block of Truman. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leslie in 2019; her parents, Art and Elvera; and her parents-in-law, Melvin and Ragna Wiborg.
