Linda Jean Sohn

Linda Jean Sohn, 61, passed away Thursday, May 13, 2021 at United Hospital District in Blue Earth. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Tuesday, May 18^th at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blue Earth with Rev. Dr. Jeanette Bidne officiating. A time for visitation will be held on Monday at Patton Funeral Home from 4-6pm and one hour prior to the service at church. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Blue Earth.

Linda was born on March 28, 1960 in Blue Earth to Duane and Janice (Evans) Sohn. She graduated from Blue Earth Area High School in 1978. Linda graduated from the Child Development Program at Rochester Area Vocational-Technical Institute on May 30, 1980. Her 36 year career of teaching and caring for children, ages birth through pre-school, began at Little People in Blue Earth. She retired in 2017 to care for her mother and spend more time with family.

Linda enjoyed baking; she was famous for making her great-grandma Malinda’s sugar cookies. She was a long time member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Blue Earth. She enjoyed helping children during both Sunday school and Wednesday release time. Most importantly, Linda cherished her family and her faith, both being very important aspects of her life.

Left to hold dear to such wonderful memories are her mother, Janice Kay Sohn; siblings, Michael (Patty) Sohn of Blue Earth, Deborah Sohn of Woodbury, Thomas Sohn of Blue Earth, Mary (Jeff) Doherty of Byron, and Mark (Vickie) Sohn of Blue Earth; nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Kurt, Alli, Lani, Corin, Willie, Amy, Rachel, and Dane; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and, too numerous to count “temporary” kids.

Linda is preceded in death by her grandparents on both sides; her father, Duane Sohn; and brother, Jeffery Sohn.

One final word from Linda to everyone is to have a GR8 day.
