Leslie (Les) George Wiborg, age 77, of Blue Earth, died Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, May 6, 2019, at 11:00 AM, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blue Earth, with Rev. Jeanette J. Bidne officiating. Visitation time will be one hour before the service at the church. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.com
Leslie George Wiborg was born December 30, 1941, in Rochester, MN to Melvin and Ragna Wiborg. He graduated from Truman High School in 1959. Les married Lois Jane Block on October 10, 1964.
Les worked as a printer in Truman and Madelia before starting Central Graphics in Blue Earth, MN with friend Gary Lemon. He later sold his portion and continued to work there for several years. Les then worked for PCI doing road construction and driving truck. In later years he worked for Custom Built Pneumatics and Winnebago Manufacturing.
Les enjoyed life to the fullest! He loved spending time with family and friend sharing laughs and telling jokes and stories. He enjoyed going on family vacations and fishing trips. Being a City Councilman was an honor for him. He enjoyed serving his community and being an active member for many years. Les was eager to listen to concerned citizens and prided himself in addressing issues quickly and showing appreciation for his constituents.
Les will be greatly missed. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
He is survived by his wife Lois, daughter Liesl (partner John Henney), son Lance (wife Joni and step family), son Layne (wife Megan, grandsons Max and Sam), Brother Ron (wife Nancy), Sister Joedy (husband Richard Cambridge).
