LaDonna Johnson

LaDonna R. Johnson, age 93 of Blue Earth, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at Heartland Senior Living in Winnebago.

Funeral services will be held at 11AM Tuesday November 8, 2022 at Hope United Methodist Church with Rev. Lee Miller officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Burial will take place at Highland Home Cemetery in Ledyard. Online condolences can be left at www.pattonfh.com

LaDonna was born on April 18, 1929 to John and Lilly (Simmonsmeier) Ehrich on a farm in Springfield Township, Iowa. She attended country school in Kossuth County through the eighth grade, before attending and graduating from Elmore High School in 1946. On January 2, 1948, LaDonna married Glen Johnson in Blue Earth. The couple farmed until 1980, when they moved to town after Glen’s retirement. LaDonna worked as head housekeeper at United Hospital District from 1981 to 1997. Glen passed away in January of 1994.

She is survived by son-in-law, Keith Knoner of Ledyard; Rick Kaiser (Joan) of Mankato; niece, Jackie (Paul) Willner of Blue Earth; 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Ramona (Merl) Johnson of Ledyard and sister-in-law, Lillian Johnson of Armstrong; and many nieces and nephews.

LaDonna is preceded in death by her parents John and Lilly; husband Glen, daughter Judy Kaiser; and step-daughters, Janelle Christeson and Janet Knoner and her brother Dennis (Susan) Ehrich.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to UHD Hospice or Parker Oaks.
