Jerome (Jerry) Bruce was born in Red Wing MN on June 30th, 1952, to Donald and Beverly (Bacon) Bruce. He passed away October 6, 2026, at his home after 1 1/2-year battle with cancer.

Jerry served in the US Army. When he was honorably discharged, he returned home and had a full life.

Jerry had a diverse career he worked many years at Viracon in Owatonna MN, a few other factories along the way. He also worked at Wal-Mart where he became to be known to many as the ‘candy man’. His true work passion, however, was that of an over-the-road truck driver.

Jerry loved spending time with his family and friends. His favorite times were those spent fishing with Lorri, his brothers or a friend. It wasn’t just fishing that he enjoyed, he was always up for a motorcycle ride. He also enjoyed telling tales of his adventures of fishing and riding motorcycle. Or when he would take Lorri in the semi with him and she would want to stop at some attraction along the way. He had a willingness to help others out when and if he could help.

Jerry’s love for the boys (the dogs) was unmatched: Mutley, Mutley, Samson, Moose, Prince, Sampson, and his girl Tinker.

Jerry is survived by his wife Lorri. Brothers Jim (Nickie) and Joe Bruce. His in-laws: Scott Larson, Sheri (Donald) Koski, Marie (Norm) Mehls, Kerri (Todd) Kennedy. Curt (Judi), Mike, Joe and Jean Parker. Mark (Kay), Bob (Cathy), Jim (Pam) Rolfzen. Special Daughter Katie Lorentz and son-in-law Josh Myhre. And many nieces and nephews.
