Jean Marie Garvick

Jean M. Garvick, born July 8, 1940, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at 85 years old. A service will be held for Jean at the Elmore United Methodist church in Elmore, MN on Thursday May 7, 2026, at 3pm. Following the service, the family invites you to join them in enjoying bars, coffee, and lemonade.

Jean was born to Clara and Francis Whalen, along with two siblings, Rich and Pam. Jean married George Garvick on December 30, 1958, in Easton, MN. Jean worked at St. Lukes in Blue Earth for 20 plus years and then went on to work for Telex. She had a love for doing her crossword puzzles and giving her husband George a hard time about his TV volume. She could cook Chicken and Dumplings like an absolute pro. Jean enjoyed baking, as well as playing cards and having a nice hot cup of coffee.

Jean is survived by her son, Brian Garvick of Blue Earth; grandson, Conner Garvick of Jackson; granddaughter, Marissa Garvick of Windom; brother, Rich Whalen of Wells, and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her sister.

Jean was a wonderful lady loved by many, and she will be greatly missed.
