Harold Renkly, age 76, of both Blue Earth and Vista, CA, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2020. A celebration of life will be held from 1-4pm at Riverside Town & Country Club on Friday, December 4, 2020.
Harold Elvin was born on April 18, 1944 in Blue Earth to Albert and Alta (Ehrich) Renkly. He attended Blue Earth schools and two years of vocational school. Harold had several jobs throughout his life, working as a general contractor. He is also a veteran of the United States Navy. On September 24, 1966, Harold married Patricia Thompson at St. Bernard’s Church in Westchester, CA. The couple moved back to southern Minnesota, where they raised their three children.
Harold lived his life to the fullest. He enjoyed traveling, spending time outdoors, playing poker with friends, golfing, and fishing. He was determined and always had his wheels spinning for the next project. Harold had a soft spot in his heart for his granddaughters and loved spending time with them.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Tammy (Jeff) Stapp of Phoenix, AZ, Sheri Renkly of Las Vegas, NV, and Sean Renkly of Manhattan Beach, CA; brothers, Darold (Corine) of SD, Richard (Eunice) of SD, and Roger (Jody) of Blue Earth; sisters, Violet Mensing of Blue Earth, Marian DeLeon fo Blue Earth, Alice (Harley) Kuchenbecker of Jackson, and Elaine Adlerink of Oak Park; granddaughters, Ashley, Courtney, Hannah, Meghan, and Miranda; and one great-grandson, Jase.
Harold is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia, his parents, and brother, Maynard Renkly.
