Elmer Soost

Elmer Soost Jr. passed away peacefully on April 24, 2026 in Frost, MN. He was born to Elmer and Margie Soost on August 25, 1953, in Albert Lea, MN. He grew up on the family farm near Matawan, MN and attended New Richland-Heartland School.

He engaged in some farming activities and sales and repair business. He cared for and loved his pug, Ben to the end.

He is survived by his siblings, Karen (Ron) Paquin of Wausau, WI, Chuck (Barb) Soost of Wells, MN, Karie Soost of Mankato, MN; brother-in-law, Richard Kelling of Pemberton, MN, also cherishing his memory are many nieces and nephews, Rande (Tim) Paquin-Stanton, Roger (Jayna) Paquin, Renee (Brandon) Schradle, Rachelle (Sid) Gonzalez, Jeff (Kim) Soost, Scott (Steph) Soost, Michelle Soost, David (Yigie) Tranlam and many great nieces and nephews. Elmer is also survived by his aunts, Thelma Wetzel of Wells, MN and Darlene Bias of Mendota, IL, and numerous cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Karel Kelling, niece Julia Tranlam and great-nephew Amos Soost.

A Memorial and Celebration of Life service will take place at a future date to be announced.
