Deloris Elizabeth Sabin

January 31, 1933 — August 27, 2019

Deloris Sabin, 86 of Blue Earth passed away Tuesday August 27, 2019 at St. Luke's Care Center. Funeral services will be Friday September 6, 11am at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Rev. Matthew Lorfeld officiating. Visitation will be Thursday September 5 from 5-7pm at Patton Funeral Home and again one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Blue Earth. Online condolences can be left at www.pattonfh.com

Deloris Sabin was born January 31, 1933 in the Truman area, the daughter of Walter and Lydia Wegner. She graduated from Truman High School in 1952. Deloris married Richard "Dick" Sabin in Truman on November 20th 1954.

Deloris worked as a secretary for the Faribault County Highway Department for a number of years. She continued work at St. Luke’s Care Center as a nurses aide and also in the laundry area. She was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, where she volunteered in Circle Groups and Altar Guild.

She enjoyed supporting the American Legion and was a member of the Women's Auxiliary. Playing cards (bridge, 500, hand and foot), staying fit through walking, and country music were also some of the things she loved, but she most enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

She will be remembered for her remarkable strength and compassionate soul. Above all, she had an unwavering faith with an enthusiastic spirit for life. Deloris was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. Those that knew her were blessed by her warm acceptance and genuine caring spirit.

Deloris is survived by her daughter Roben (Ed) Schwen of Rochester, son Jim (Jimetta) Sabin of Blue Earth; two granddaughters, Kristin Schwen, and Jenny (Chris) Kurtz; four great grandchildren; Taylor, Emma, Kaitlyn and Phillip; brother Derrel (Judy) Wegner; sisters Lois Cook, Linda (Jerry) Schroeder and Carleen (Steve) Leeder along with many loved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, daughter Lori, parents, sister and brother-in-law Carol and Devere Boettcher, brother-in-law David (Lois) Cook.

Staff at St. Luke's Care Center showed Mom loving care and understanding since 2013. This sincere help has been deeply felt by her family members and we could not be more thankful to all staff members involved with her care.

Memorials to St. Luke's Care Center are greatly appreciated.
