Cynthia Marie Goodrich

Cynthia “Cindy” Marie Goodrich passed away Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2017, surrounded by family at her home after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday May 19, 2018 at the Evangelical Covent Church 901 Woodland Ave Fairmont, MN with Rev. Dan Wheeler and Rev. Dan Fullerton officiating. An open house starting at 12:00pm will be at the Goodrich residence 8944 370th Ave in Blue Earth. Cindy was born Aug. 25, 1952, in Fairmont, Minn., to Howard C. and Susan Smith. She graduated from Blue Earth High School in 1970. She married Erv Jansen in 1972. They had two sons together, Lucas in 1978 and Cole in 1980. She worked for Dr. Jim Ekse in Blue Earth as a registered dental assistant and then spent 27 years with Dr. Jeff Fordice in Fairmont. She married Marty Goodrich on July 23, 1988. Her greatest joys were her seven grandkids and one great-grandchild, gardening, dancing, participating in all activities at Fairmont Evangelical Covenant Church and riding motorcycle with her husband. She is survived by her husband, Marty; sons, Lucas (Candy) Jansen of Elmore, Cole Jansen of Elmore and special friend Kelsey Oletzke of Fairmont; grandchildren Robbie, Angel, Morgan, Callen, Ayla, Bayleigh, Fynley; parents, Howard and Susan Smith of Blue Earth, and brothers, Robin (Julie) of Tucson, Ariz., Marty Smith of Belton, Texas.
