Connie Lu Johannsen, 65, of Blue Earth passed away Monday, May 4, 2021. A private burial service will be held at a later date.
Connie was born April 3, 1956 in Schaller, IA to Eldon and Maxine (Henry) Johannsen. She graduated from Eastwood High School in Correctionville, IA. She then received her degree for Radiologic Technologist from Saint Vincent School of X-Ray in Sioux City, IA and worked in the medical field for over 30 years in both Iowa and Minnesota.
Connie and her husband, Mark, were married for over 35 years and had three girls before divorcing. Together, they had nine grandchildren that Connie enjoyed spending time with, as well as going to their activities and baking. Connie loved music, watching movies, cheering on the Green Bay Packers and animals. She shared her passion for music by assisting with Marching Band and Flag Squad choreography and helping at Trinity Lutheran Church in Estherville, IA. Connie also enjoyed working at the Rainbow Food Coop in Blue Earth, MN and volunteered many hours for inventory and planning.
Connie is survived by her daughters; Ashley (Justin) Skaden, Erin (Tony) Salmon, Katelyn Frahm. Nine grandchildren; Camren, Austin, Abby, Brody, Aubrey, Landon, Brileigh, Maddie and Brynnlee. Sisters; Sharon Gainor and Barb (Doug) Deming. Brother-in-law; Ronnie Stingley. As well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister; Margaret Ann Stingley, and brother-in-law; Harry Gainor. As well as aunts and uncles.
