Christopher Paul Uecker

Christopher Paul Uecker, 38, of Blue Earth, passed on late Easter evening at United Hospital District in Blue Earth. 

Chris was born March 24, 1982 in Glencoe, MN to Mavis Scheid and David Uecker.  Chris graduated from Blue Earth Area High School in 2000.  He married Gwen Stauffer in 2003.  Out of that marriage came two daughters, Brandi and Elizabeth. 

Throughout his life, Chris worked a variety of jobs: McDonald’s, Subway, JM Manufacturing, Olson Dairy Farm, and Wiltse Tree Service.   Chris thoroughly enjoyed being outside.  He enjoyed nature, gardening, and fishing.  He was very personable and loved talking to people.  Chris was a very loving father, who always attended his girls’ sporting events.  Although Chris had troubles in his life, he was working really hard to turn everything around. 

He is survived by his daughters, Brandi and Elizabeth Uecker; parents, Mavis Scheid and Steven Scheid, and David (Julie) Uecker; siblings, Nicholas (Crystal) Uecker, Megan (Aron) Goshorn, Nathan (BreAnne) Scheid, KayLynn (Jarin) Smith, and Travis Uecker; grandmother, Mildred Rettman; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents, Don and June Scheid, Eldon and Lillian Uecker, and Erwin Rettman; aunts Katie Sakal, Jan Graff, and Kathy Uecker; and cousin, Keri Ann Uecker. 

A memorial service in honor of Chris will be held at a later date. A private family burial will be held at Rice Lake Cemetery with Rev. Russ Jacobsen officiating.
