Carlyle Aadland

Carlyle (Butch) David Aadland, age 84, of Blue Earth, Minnesota passed away peacefully on September 24, 2025 at United Hospital District in Blue Earth where he was surrounded by loved ones.

Butch was born on May 21, 1941 in Hankinson, North Dakota to Cora and Selmer Aadland. After high school, Butch served in the US Army as a sergeant, where he was stationed in Germany for 2 years. He later worked as a foreman at Fountain Industries in Albert Lea, Minnesota. In his spare time he delivered pizza where he met the love of his life, Patricia Callahan. They went on to be married on June 7, 1986. Together they spent married life in Arizona, California, Iowa and finally settled in Blue Earth for the last 10 years.

Butch enjoyed fishing, reading, doing puzzles on his computer and especially his treasured dog, Bear. Butch will be remembered for his quiet, gentle personality.

Butch is survived by his wife of 39 years, Pat; son Leonard (Lisa) Aadland of Wesley, Iowa; step-daughters Amy (Tim) Stenzel of Winnebago and Beth (Brad) Leland of Bricelyn. He had 7 step-grandchildren and 16 step-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister in addition to his in-laws; Bob and Jean Callahan of Wells.

Arrangements are in care of Patton Funeral Home Blue Earth, Minnesota. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
