Brian Noel Hedland

Brian Noel Hedland, age 72 of Blue Earth passed away Friday February 5, 2021 at the United Hospital District in Blue Earth surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Wednesday February 10 at Patton Funeral Home with Chaplain Russ Steele officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Blue Earth. 

Brian Noel Hedland was born February 12, 1948 in Blue Earth to Gordon and Ruth (More) Hedland. He attended Blue Earth School graduating in 1966. He then went on to attend Mankato Vocational school earning a degree in electronics. He worked as a TV repairman, electronic technician at Telex and Hybrid Microcircuits. He was also an associate at the Blue Earth Walmart electronics department. Most recently he was in maintenance at the I-90 East Wayside Rest Stop.

On May 27, 1977 he married Connie Mason. Two daughters were born to this union. The couple later divorced.

He was a grandpa of six and enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s many activities. He was a HAM radio operator for many years and was a huge music lover, he was in several bands during his younger years and learned to play the guitar and keyboard. He was most proud of his accomplishments in AA and his 26 years of sobriety.

Brian is survived by his two daughters: Marta (Daryl) Grove of Fayette, IA and Tarra Hedland (Nate Blowers) of Blue Earth. Six grandchildren; Jacob Hedland of St. Paul, Hayley Jahnke and Marianna Rincon of Blue Earth, Makenna, Gavyn and Brody Grove of Fayette, IA. Brother Joel (Mara Coyle) Hedland of Maplewood and nephews Nils and Leo Hedland and his loving dog Wrinkles.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
