Angel Martinez

Angel Martinez, age 68, of St. James, passed away on June 18, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, June 25, 2026 at River of Life Worship Center in Blue Earth. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 24 from 4-7 PM at Patton Funeral Home and will continue one hour before the service. Burial will be at Riverside cemetery, Blue Earth.

Angel was born on December 24, 1957, in Winnebago, Minnesota, to Philip and Antonia Martinez. He attended Granada-Huntley High School and carried with him throughout his life the values of family, hard work, and love for those closest to him.

Angel is survived by his devoted wife of 48 years, Rosalie Ann Martinez; his daughter, Jessica (Todd); his son, Angel Jr.; and his grandchildren, Rosa, Jesus, Babi, Blake, Emina, Angel III, Harmoni, Larrisa, Caden, Zailer and three great grandchildren He is also survived by six sisters, five brothers, and many other relatives and friends who will cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip and Antonia Martinez, and his brother, David.

Angel will be remembered for the love he shared with his family and the lasting place he holds in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be remembered for his warm heart, steady strength, and unwavering loyalty as a true Pittsburgh Steelers fan. His memory will continue to live on through his wife, children, grandchildren, siblings, and extended family.
