ARLISS HELEN JEAN WILKE, a Gold Star Mother, age 90, formerly of Blue Earth, died Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Pathstone Living in Mankato.Visitation time will be from 5:00pm-7:00pm Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 400 E. 14th Street in Blue Earth and one hour prior to the service at the church. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2017, at 11:00 AM, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Blue Earth, with Rev. Karl Yahr officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.comShe was born May 30, 1926, at Lewisville, MN, the daughter of Alfred and Helen (Schwanke) Breitenfeld. She was baptized into the Christian faith, and confirmed at the Trinity Lutheran church in Elmore. She attended Elmore Public Schools and graduated from Elmore High School in 1944. On November 6, 1949 she married Ernest Wilke and together they raised four sons, Randy, Tom, Dick, and Ron. She worked at Telex Communications in Blue Earth for many years. She was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 89 where she served as unit and county president. Her final years were spent under the loving care of the staff at Ecumen Pathstone Living in Mankato.She is survived by her sons, Dick (Helen) Wilke of New Brighton, Ron Wilke of Mankato, granddaughter, Dr. Caitlin (David) Anderson of Plymouth.She was preceded in death by her husband, sons Randy and Tom, parents, brother, Arnold Breitenfeld, sister, Edna Breitenfeld Thompson.
