Mary M. Mensing

MARY M. MENSING, age 63, of Blue Earth, died Tuesday, February 10, 2015, at St. Mary''s Hospital, Rochester. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2015, at 10:30 AM, at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Blue Earth, with Father Peter Klein officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Blue Earth. Visitation time will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Monday at Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 400 E. 14th Street in Blue Earth and one hour prior to services at the church. She was raised in Albert Lea where she was a 1969 graduate of Albert Lea High School. Following school she moved to California where she worked at a doctor''s office. A few years later she moved to Blue Earth to be with her ailing grandmother. She soon met and married Marcus J. Mensing on August 26, 1978 at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Blue Earth. Mary was a homemaker and had worked at Blue Earth Valley Eye Clinic for a few years. She also taught Faith Formation at SS Peter Paul Church. Mary had most recently worked as a para-professional at the Blue Earth Elementary School. Mary was a great cook, cleaner and organizer. She was an excellent caretaker for her friends and family and greatly enjoyed the time she spent with her husband, children and especially babysitting her greatest love- Zoa.Mary is survived by her daughter, Nicole (Bart) Oelke of Blue Earth, her son, Paul Mensing of Rochester, her granddaughter, Zoa Oelke of Blue Earth, her parents, Bill (Marie) Vosler of Albert Lea, her sisters: Jane ( Phil) Kronlage of Bloomington, Pat Larson of Albert Lea, Judy (Paul) Meyer of New Brighton, Joan (Steve) Wilson of Eden Prairie, Karen (Mark) Kuss of St. Francis, her brother, Richard (Tammy) Vosler of Albert Lea and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark J. Mensing in July of 2014.
