Funeral services for Wilhelmine E. Asmus, 80, Blue Earth, MN will be held on Friday, April 17, 2015 at 11:00 am at First Presbyterian Church, Blue Earth. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth. Wilhelmine died on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at St. Luke''s Care Center, Blue Earth. Visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00 am Friday, April 17, 2015 at First Presbyterian Church, Blue Earth. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.comWilhelmine Elizabeth More was born on May 17, 1934 in Elmore Township, MN to Clarence and Cora (Weyhrauch) More. She was baptized and confirmed at the First Presbyterian Church in Blue Earth. She attended school at Blue Earth Public School, graduating in 1952 from Blue Earth High School. On November 30, 1952 Wilhelmine was united in marriage to Merlyn Asmus at the First Presbyterian Church in Blue Earth. They farmed south of Blue Earth on the Old River Road. They farmed from 1953-1982 at which time Meryln''s heath required him to retire. In 1982 they moved into Blue Earth where she remained in her home until 2011. Wil worked at Telex Communications from 1987-2004 when she retired. She was a lifetime member of First Presbyterian Church in Blue Earth where she was actively involved. Wil liked cross stitching, flower gardening and volunteering. She loved to spend time with her family.Wilhelmine is survived by three daughters, Rita (Phil) Hauge, New Ulm, MN, Patricia Asmus, Juction City, KS, Amy Asmus, Shakopee, MN; two sons, Craig (Deb) Asmus, Truman, MN, John Asmus, Spokane, WA; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother, James More, Blue Earth, MN; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Merlyn; one sister, Gene Baade; two brothers, Robert More and Fred More.Memorial contributions are preferred to the Children''s Home Society, 1605 Eustis St., St. Paul, MN 55108 or the First Presbyterian Church, 108 S. Galbraith, Blue Earth, MN.
