Loretta M. Engesser, age 92, of Blue Earth, died Saturday, April 25, 2015, at United Hospital in Blue Earth. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at 10:00 AM, at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Blue Earth, with Father Peter Klein officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Blue Earth. Visitation time will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday at St. Luke''s Lutheran Care Center and one hour prior to services at church. Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Blue Earth is assisting the family with the arrangements. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.com.Loretta was born January 23, 1923, in Bridgewater, South Dakota , the daughter of Stephen R. and Frances (Weber ) Weber. She was raised in Salem, South Dakota, and she received her education at St. Mary''s School in Salem. Loretta moved to Mankato in 1949 where she met her future husband "Buss". Loretta was married to Mildon "Buss" Engesser on September 4, 1950 at St. Mary''s Catholic Church in Salem, SD. Shortly following their marriage the couple moved to Blue Earth, MN where Buss worked at Armon Decorating and Loretta was a homemaker, caring for her six children. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary, was the head cook at SS Peter & Paul Catholic School until it closed. Loretta was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be greatly missed by her family and friends.Loretta Engesser is survived by her daughter, Marjorie (& partner Bryan Simon) Engesser of Sherman Oaks, CA, her daughter, Marie (Ryan) Northwick of Blue Earth, her son, Michael (& wife Jennifer) Engesser of Luverne, MN, her son, Patrick (& wife Kathy) Engesser of Eagan, MN, her son, Thomas (& wife Jennifer) Engesser of Blue Earth, her sisters: Bernette Westhoff, Sr. Stephanie Weber, Sr. Rosemary Weber, Theresa Weber, Phyllis Zwart, Joyce Kappenman, her brother, Stephen Weber, ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews.She preceded in death by her son, Stephen Engesser, husband, Mildon "Buss" Engesser, parents, sister, Leona Vogel, brother, Peter Weber, brother, Philip Weber.
