Klinton "Klint" Blackdeer

KLINTON (KLINT) BLACKDEER, age 30, of Bricelyn formerly Altoona, IA, died Sunday, May 10, 2015 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems Albert Lea.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2015, at 2:00 PM, at Hope United Methodist Church in Blue Earth, with Rev. Russ Jacobsen officiating. Visitation time will be 5:00-8:00PM Friday, at Patton Funeral Home, 400 East 14th Street in Blue Earth. Web tributes may be left at www.info@pattonfh.com He was born March 11, 1985, in Blue Earth, the son of Armand and Shawn (Neuhalfen) Blackdeer. He attended Blue Earth Area Schools throughout his childhood, and graduated in 2003 from RRMR High School in Rockford, IA. Klint loved to smile, loved to put smiles on other people and loved to be loved, he truly had the biggest heart. His kids were his greatest gift to this world, and he was the happiest being outside playing ball and fishing with the boys. He was so proud of his brothers and sisters and LOVED his family. His friends were also a big part of his life and loved them fiercely. He never forgot about his Easton friends and of course the Bago boys, and the many friends throughout Iowa. He embraced his Native Pride and was a proud member of the Ho-Chunk Nation. He was so proud to be a member of the Local 67 Iron Workers Union and his brothers that worked with him. He thrived being on the iron at the highest point on the job. Most recently he took pride having the opportunity to work on the new Vikings Stadium. He was good at everything he put his mind to such as wrestling, baseball, football, frisbee golf, MMA fighting, well ask Klint he was the best at everything :-) especially telling jokes. He is survived by his significant other, Stephanie Olson of Bricelyn, son, Klayton Blackdeer Adams of Greene, IA, son, Justis Blackdeer of Bricelyn, mother, Shawn (John) Blackdeer Miller of Dougherty, IA, brothers, Kristopher (Kristie Bales) Blackdeer of Mason City, IA, Cody (Katie) Blackdeer of Rockwell, IA, Nathan Sawvell of Waterloo, IA, sisters, Micki (Bruce Ryherd) Neuhalfen of Mason City, IA, Kelsey (Steven Schmidt) Blackdeer of Marble Rock, IA, Mindy (Branden) Johnson of Mason City, IA, grandmother, Mary Miller, uncles, Clyde Blackdeer, Stuart Blackdeer, Clifford Blackdeer Jr., Tim (Jamie) Neuhalfen, aunts, Eileen Blackdeer, Carole Blackdeer Roberts, Lisa Blackdeer, Sharon Ornellas, Terri Neuhalfen, Laurie (Kenny) Kadow, great uncle, Willy Pannkuk, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.He was preceded in death by his father, maternal grandparents, Roderick & Dorothy Neuhalfen, paternal grandparents, Clifford & Mary Blackdeer Sr., uncles, Randall, Tim, and Steven Blackdeer, and Kent Neuhalfen.All of those who knew him will miss his charisma and smile that lit up the room (Some may say it was mischief but still lit up the room).
