SUSAN LYNNE RISTAU, age 70, of Elmore, died Sunday, July 5, 2015, at Home.Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2015, at 11:00 AM, at St. John''s Lutheran Church in rural Elmore, with Rev. Joel Lintner officiating. Burial will be in St. John''s Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation time will be from 5:00-7:00 PM Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 400 E. 14th Street in Blue Earth, and 1 hour before the service at the church. She graduated from Elmore High School in 1962 as the class Valedictorian, and also the Homecoming Queen. She graduated from Gustavus Adolphus in 1966. She was married June 11, 1966 at St. John''s Lutheran Church in rural Elmore to Arnie Ristau her high school sweetheart. Susan was a devoted Wife, Mother of Steve (Christina), Kari (Jason) & Tara (Josh), and Grandmother to Kortni, Riley, Emma, Peyton, Cooper, Sofia, Sidney, Eloise & AveriSusan was an elementary teacher for 40 plus years in Blue Earth, Elmore & Bricelyn, active member of St. John''s Lutheran Church of Elmore in which she was Baptized, Confirmed & Married, organist for 50 years, played for the Christmas Cantata for 38 years and was a Volunteer for the Ladies Aid and various events.Her hobbies included Spending time with grandkids, attending all of their various sporting and school events, star gazing, gator riding, going to the waterpark and apple orchard, playing board & card games, playful trash talker, sports agent for multiple grandkids, making fleece blankets, professional foot massager, journaling, picture taking, reading, playing the piano, coffee time with friends, North Shore travels with Arnie and mowing the yard.She is survived by her husband, Arnie Ristau of Elmore, son, Steve (Christina) Ristau of Chaska, daughter, Kari (Jason) Thompson of Owatonna, daughter, Tara (Josh) Blair of Winnebago, sister, Cindy (Earl) Iverson of Kiester, sister, Melody (Bill) Hammel of Eyota, and 9 grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents.
