MARION HUSBY TWEDT, age 84, of Blue Earth formerly of Frost, died Wednesday, November 11, 2015, at United Hospital District in Blue Earth. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 16, 2015, at 11:00 AM, at Bethany Lutheran Church in rural Frost, with Rev. Arne Halbakken officiating. Burial will be in Bethany Lutheran Cemetery rural Frost. Visitation time will be from 2:00-4:00 pm Sunday, November 15, 2015 at Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 400 E. 14th Street in Blue Earth, and 1 hour before service at the church. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.com Marion was born June 6, 1931, in Walters, MN, the son of Emil and Mildred (Husby) Twedt. He lived in rural Frost where he attended country school until the 8th grade. On April 13, 1952 he married Janet Lee Ozmun in Kiester, MN. He joined the United States Army on February 3, 1954 and was discharged February 2, 1956. After his enlistment with the Army he came back to the area and began farming. In 1965, he started selling Pioneer Seed and did so for more than 33 years. He retired from the seed business, but his love for farming continued. Marion loved the land and was an avid hunter and fishermen. In more recent years, Marion and Janet enjoyed their time in their motorhome, wintering in Texas. They loved spending summers with family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Janet Twedt of Blue Earth, daughters, Mary (Duane) Evans of Blue Earth, Sarah (Steve) Wilson of Lakeville, sons, Larry (Barb) Twedt of Frost, Garry Twedt of Winnebago, grandchildren, Amy ( Brian) Schonborn, Katy (Jason) Grovom, Jared (Laura) Evans, Sydney (fianc Rob Clatterbuck) Wilson, Hannah, Micah, Joshua & Mariah Twedt, great- grandchildren, Katlyn, Luke & Halle Schonborn, Blake, Brett, Bennett & Livy Grovom. He was preceded in death by infant son, Paul Twedt, parents, brother, Erling Twedt, sisters, Edna Anderson and Maxine Olson.
