Carole Holmseth

CAROLE JOYCE HOLMSETH, age 76, of Blue Earth, died Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at the Mayo Health Systems Hospital in Albert Lea. Memorial services will be held on Friday May 30, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth. Visitation time will be one hour prior to services. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.comCarole was born April 18, 1938, in Elmore, MN. She is the daughter of Russell & Ruby (Dorenbush) Luckow.She graduated from Elmore High School in 1956. She married Richard L. Holmseth on September 1, 1956 in Elmore, MN. Richard farmed and Carole was a homemaker. Richard and Carole raised five children together in Blue Earth, MN. Carole enjoyed spending time with her family, having coffee with friends at Country Kitchen, cooking, baking, collecting Gold Bond Stamps, and vacationing with her family. She had a special fondness for her pet dogs. Richard and Carole later divorced. She worked at Central Graphics for several years. She was also a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Blue Earth. Carole is survived by her daughter, Kathy Holmseth of Blue Earth, sons: Mark (Olive) Holmseth of Wells, Scott Holmseth of Mankato, Rick Holmseth of Ramsey, John (Kirsten) Holmseth of Waseca, her brother, Dale (Gloria) Luckow of Colorado, her sister, Marilyn (Merlin) Loge of Chaska, eight grandchildren: Lauren & Allyson Holmseth, Aryonna & Brandon Holmseth, Jonathon Sheehan, Kenny Holmseth, Kelly Wyman & Ethan Holmseth, and two great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents.
