Edna Betts Hull, age 93, of Blue Earth, died Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at Mayo Health Systems Hospital in Mankato. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at 11:00 AM, at Hope United Methodist Church in Blue Earth, with Rev. Janet Crissinger Clark officiating. Burial will be in Eastern United States at a later date. Visitation time will be one hour prior to services at the church. Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service, of Blue Earth is assisting the family with the arrangements. Web condolences may be left at www.pattonfh.com Memorial donations are preferred to St. Luke''s Lutheran Care Center.Edna was born September 5, 1919, in Grand View, New York, the daughter of Anson and Hattie (Ramsey) Betts. Her early years were spent in Kinderhook, New York and later in Plainfield, MA before her graduation from Weaverville, NC High School in 1938. She attended Stetson University in Deland, Florida before her marriage to Robert C. Hull on December 28, 1940 in Stockbridge, MA. She was a homemaker, living in West Cummington, MA and Amherst, MN. In the mid 1960s she began working as the secretary for John Lederle, the President of the University of Massachusetts. Robert died in 1967 and Edna eventually became a real estate agent and broker. She moved to Asheville, NC to be with her daughter, Deborah where she continued in real estate until the mid 1990''s. Edna lived in Minnesota and in San Diego, California since 2002. In late 2010 she moved permanently to Blue Earth and had been a resident of Friendship Court. Edna attended Presbyterian and Congregational churches in her communities, was an avid reader, enjoyed knitting, sewing & home decorating and was a staunch Republican throughout the years. She most enjoyed being with her family.Edna is survived by her daughter, Judy Bailey of Blue Earth, her daughter, Harriet "Happy" Timberlake (Bruce Colby) of Vista, California, her sister, Doris "Dorty" Sears of Leicester, NC and six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1967, son, Robert Hull, daughter, Deborah Hull, brothers: Horace "Bud", Anson "Babe", Thomas & Harold Betts and a great grandson, Ian Dahlheimer.
