Luella Lorene Tonn

LUELLA "LOU" TONN, age 87, of Blue Earth, died Sunday, April 1, 2012, at St. Lukes Lutheran Care Center. A Celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2012, at 10:30 AM, at Faith Lutheran Brethren Church in Blue Earth, with Rev. Brent Walker officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth. Visitation time will be one hour prior to services at the church. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.com Lou was born August 22, 1924, in Blue Earth, the daughter of A. Paul and Anna L. (Giese) Fuchs. She was raised and educated in Blue Earth where she attended schools. She was married to Walter F. Tonn on July 22, 1944 in Blue Earth. Lou was a homemaker and had worked at the Blue Earth cleaners for a short time. Walter died in 1968 and Lou began babysitting for many area families. She enjoyed her daycare and baking, sewing, flowers and her faithful dogs. She attended Faith Lutheran Brethren Church for many years. Lou is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Lyle) Rippentrop of Fairmont, her son, Gary (Suzanne) Tonn of Blue Earth, her brother, Marvin Fuchs of Blue Earth, her brother in law, Armond Dobson of Blue Earth, three grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Walter, sister, Margaret Lytle, brothers: Theodore, Donald, Ed, & Herbert Fuchs, sister-in-law, Dorothy Dobson, brother-in law, Clarence Tonn and special friend Vernon Clough.
