MARCELLA "MARCY" EVERETT, age 64, of Blue Earth, died Monday, July 23, 2012, at her home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2012, at 11:00 AM, at Hope United Methodist Church in Blue Earth, with Rev. Janet Crissinger Clark officiating. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery, Winnebago. Visitation time will be from 5 7:00 PM Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service, and 1 hour before the service at the church. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.comMarcella Kay Garlick was born to Warren and Mary (Yahnke) Garlick in Winnebago, MN. She graduated from Winnebago High School and went on to college at Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD. Marcy studied German and spent her junior year abroad at Schiller College in Kleiningersheim, Germany. She graduated cum laude from Augustana. The following two years she implemented German programs in Morton and Franklin, MN schools. Marcy the returned to college to study nutrition and graduated magna cum laude from MSU with a BS degree in food and nutrition. She was employed by Stouffer Foods Corp. in the restaurant division where she worked in Detroit, Cleveland and Pittsburgh. She later went to work for ARA Food Service and worked as a Food Service Director in Ashland, Ohio and Omaha, NE before returning to Minnesota in 1985. Marcy was employed at St. Luke''s Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth as Nutritional Services Director for the next 21 years. On April 20, 2002, Marcy was united in marriage to Larry Everett. She was a member of Hope United Methodist Church, a member of Faith Circle, and the Faribault Co. Home Economists. Marcy had many interests and hobbies and loved helping others. She enjoyed her cat, Murphy, music, reading, stamping homemade cards, gardening and playing disc golf. Surviving Marcy are her Husband, Larry of Blue Earth and many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Mary Garlick and many aunts and uncles.
