Norma Rotterman , 69, of Buffalo Center, IA, passed away of cancer on Wednesday afternoon, July 25, 2012 at Parker Oaks Communities in Winnebago, MN under the care of United Hands Hospice.A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am Monday, July 30, 2012 at the St. John''s Catholic Church located in Bancroft, IA with Pastor John Thomas officiating. Burial will be at the Saint John''s Catholic Cemetery.Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 pm Sunday, July 29, 2012 at the Patton Funeral Home located in Blue Earth MN, and one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.The birth of Norma Jean Anderson took place in Forest City, Iowa on May 14, 1943 to her parents Albin and Eva (Danger) Anderson and her eight year-old brother Gary.On November 29, 1958, she was united in marriage to Francis D Rotterman at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ledyard, IA.She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Rosary Society, serving as president for several years. Norma also taught catechism for several years at her church.Throughout her lifetime, Norma enjoyed spending time with family, working with beef cattle, embroidering tea towels and quilt blocks, flower gardening, cooking and baking.Norma leaves her husband of 53 years, Francis Rotterman; children: Terri Springer and husband Mike, Traci Schwab, Bill Rotterman and wife Jill, Tina Nimz and husband Douglas, Tonya Reed and husband David, Adopted son Bradley RottermanGrandchildren: Danica Nauman, Dusty Nauman, Darin Engelby and wife Katie, Natice Schwab, Sophia, Max and Ava Rotterman; Drake, Abby and Jack Nimz; Emma and Libby Reed; Step-granddaughter, Kristin Reed; Great-grandchild, Riley Bauer Brother, Gary Anderson and wife Lucy; Nephews, Scott, David and Gary Allen AndersonAs Norma arrives at her final destination she will be greeted by her parents Albin & Eva Anderson, stepmother Helen Anderson, sister-in-law Sylvia Anderson and nephew Bruce Anderson.The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Parker Oaks and the caregivers of United Hands Hospice for their compassionate care of Norma.The Oakcrest Funeral Services of Bancroft, IA is assisting the family with arrangements.
