OLE HADLAND, age 86, of Frost, died Monday, September 3, 2012, at United Hospital in Blue Earth. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 7, 2012, at 11:00 AM, at United Lutheran Church in Frost, with Rev. Arne Halbakken officiating. Burial will be in United Lutheran Cemetery, Frost. Visitation time will be one hour prior to services at the church. Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Blue Earth is assisting the family with the arrangements. Food Shelf.Ole was born December 1, 1925, in Bryne Norway, the son of Torvald and Nanna (Mellenstrand) Hadland. He was raised in Norway where he was baptized and confirmed at the Time Lutheran Church in Bryne. He was united in marriage to Tordis Rimestad on July 4, 1953 at Time Church. He came directly to Blue Earth in 1955 at the age of 29 and soon moved to Frost in 1957. Ole worked for the Faribault Co. Highway Dept. where he was a traffic sign painter and road stripe painter for many years. He retired in 1984. Ole and Tordis operated the Frost Mission Center for over 10 years and Ole volunteered many hours and made many donations to the mission work. He also sewed many items and sent truck loads of clothes to Nogales, Texas and into Mexico. Ole is famous for distributing his hand made cross. His favorite hobby was going to the mission in Yuma, Arizona for the winter.Ole is survived by his wife, Tordis Hadland of Frost, his brothers: Kjell Hadland, Nils Hadland and Geir Hadland all of Norway, and his sister, Karen Norland of Norway.He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-Ragnae Hadland.
