HELEN MARY EIDE, age 97, of Blue Earth, died Thursday, September 13, 2012, at St. Luke''s Lutheran Care Center.Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 17, 2012, at 1:00 PM, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Blue Earth, with Rev. Wesley Hafner officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth. Visitation time will be from 5-7:00 PM Sunday, September 16, 2012, at St. Paul Lutheran Church 305 East 5th Street in Blue Earth, and one hour prior to the service at the church. She graduated from Canistota High School and earned a Teaching Certificate from Brookings State College. She married Ole E. Eide October 6, 1940, at Canistota, SD. She taught school in South Dakota, owned and operated a Dairy Queen and Dairy Freeze for many years with her husband.She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church, various bridge clubs; she loved crocheting, baking, cooking, reading, playing golf, watching the Vikings, and the Twins.She is survived by her daughter, Gwen Bruns of Maple Grove, her daughter, Carol Lerfald of Maple Grove, her sister, Eileen Rabon of Miami, FL, her sister-in-law, Lila Kostboth of Canistota, 4 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband Ole in 1999, parents, 2 brothers, sister, and son-in-law Robert.
