MILDRED C. SKOGERBOE, age 93, of Blue Earth, died Sunday, October 28, 2012, at St. Luke''s Lutheran Care Center.Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 01, 2012, at 11:00 AM, at Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth, with Rev. Arne Halbakken, and Rev. Karl Rydholm officiating. Burial will be in Bethany Lutheran Cemetery, Rome Township, Minnesota. Visitation time will be from one hour before the service at Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 400 E. 14th Street in Blue Earth. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.comShe was born February 17, 1919, in Rural Frost, Minnesota, the daughter of Ed L. and Minnie (Mortvedt) Johnson. She was baptized, confirmed and married to Verner M. Skogerboe on August 23, 1941 at Bethany Lutheran Church where she has been a lifetime member for 93 years 8 months and11 days. They made their home in rural Frost till Verner passed away on February 18, 1985. She moved to their home in Frost and lived there till May 2008, when she entered St. Lukes Care Center in Blue Earth, Minnesota where she passed away on October 28, 2012. Mildred attended country school near her home place for 8 years and graduated from Blue Earth High School in 1937. She furthered her education by attending Teachers Normal Training and taught in Bricelyn and Elmore country schools. She always enjoyed embroidery, gardening, craftwork, teaching Sunday School, Ladies Aid and Circle group and family activities.She is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Arlen) Moeller of Fairmont, sons: Robert (Margaret) Skogerboe of Omaha, NE, and Larry Skogerboe of Frost, Minnesota, sister, June (Otto) Kitzmann of Stewartville, MN, sisters-in-law, Murtis Johnson of Blue Earth, Ruby Johnson of Frost, seven grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband-Verner, three brothers: Cyrus, Elwood & Harris Johnson, and two nephews, Dallas and Donovan Johnson.
