Thilmer M. "Tim" Legred, age 76, of Bricelyn, died Monday, January 24, 2011, at St. Lukes Lutheran Care Center, Blue Earth. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 28, 2011, at 11:00 AM, at North Blue Earth Lutheran Church in Brush Creek Township, with Rev. Luther Peterson officiating. Burial will be in North Blue Earth Lutheran Cemetery, Brush Creek Twsp., Minnesota. Visitation time will be 9:30 am until service time on Friday at the church. Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Blue Earth is assisting the family with the arrangements. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.comTim was born June 17, 1934, near Bricelyn , the son of Thomas and Marie (Anderson) Legred. He was raised in the Brush Creek area where he was a 1952 graduate of Bricelyn High School. He attended Mankato State University in Mankato before entering the U.S. Army in 1953, where he was an infantryman in Alaska until returning home in 1955. He was married to Darlene Boysen on March 11, 1961 in Hayfield, MN. Tim was a lifelong farmer in the Brush Creek area where he raised hogs, corn & soybeans for many years. He loved to be outdoors and enjoyed his Alaskan wilderness trips. He also enjoyed downhill skiing, square dancing and traveling across the country and to Norway. He was a member of the Faribault Co. Pork Producers and was a lifetime member of North Blue Earth Lutheran Church where he served as a past President, Councilman, Treasurer and taught Sunday School for many years. Tim is survived by his wife, Darlene Legred of Bricelyn, , his daughter, Brenda (Bryan) Godlove of Gig Harbor, Washington, his son, Brent (Julie) Legred of Bricelyn, his brothers: Arlen (Mona) Legred of Brush Creek, Severt (Joan) Legred of Golden Valley, Roger (Viva) Legred of Bricelyn, his sister, Marlene Linsey of California, and sister, Evelyn (Stanley) Tolzmann of Kirkland, Washington and seven grandchildren .He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant grandson, Kamden Legred and infant brother, Burton Legred.
