MARY RIEFF, age 87, of Blue Earth, died Saturday, April 30, 2011, at St. Luke''s Lutheran Care Center, Blue Earth. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2011, at 1:30 PM, at St. Luke''s Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth, with Rev. Kary Rydholm officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, St. Peter, MN. Visitation time will be one hour prior to services at St. Luke''s. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.comMary was born July 16, 1923, in Nicollett Co., MN, the daughter of Joseph and Marie (Wagner) Rieff. At the age of five Mary became a ward of the state of Minnesota and eventually lived with the Elm Homes organization in Blue Earth where she worked at STEP Inc for several years. She always enjoyed a good piece of chewing gum and was skilled at sewing and had made many, wonderful, good quality rugs through the years. Mary was a very social person who enjoyed her daily cappuccino, loved looking pretty with her hair styled, nails done and beads around her neck. She was also known for drawing pictures of flowers as a gift for most of her visitors. She retired from STEP inc. in 2008 and became a resident of St. Luke''s Lutheran Care Center.Mary is survived by many good friends including the Joan Slama and Judy Staloch Families.She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Betty Jane Rieff in 2009
