Ronald Krieger

Ronald L. "Ronnie" Krieger, age 76, of Blue Earth, died Friday, September 16, 2011, at his home.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2011, at 1:00 PM, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Blue Earth, with Rev. Wesley Hafner officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth. Visitation time will be from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday at Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 400 E. 14th Street, in Blue Earth, and one hour prior to services at the church. Expressions of sympathy are preferred in the form of memorial donations to the United Hospice.Ronnie was born January 5, 1935, in Parkston South Dakota, the son of Albert and Bertha (Sperlich) Krieger. The Krieger family moved to Minnesota in 1942 where Ronnie went to school. He began working at the Ford garage as a mechanic and also worked at the Motor Inn before entering the US Army in 1955. He returned in 1957 and worked at Hague Repair and then at L & M Motors where he continued until retiring in 1999. He was married to Marilyn Reinke and later to Naoma Bruellman on February 14, 1998 in Blue Earth. Since his retirement Ronnie has enjoyed building street rod components and transmissions for others and for his own street rods. He very much enjoyed his family and grandchildren and was glad to be able to help people with their cars or in various other ways through the years.Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Naoma Krieger of Blue Earth, his son, Scott (Melissa) Krieger of Lino Lakes, his stepson, Loren (Brenda) Bruellman of Blue Earth, his stepson, Bruce (LaDonna) Bruellman of Bricelyn, his brother, Allan (Sharon) Krieger of Blue Earth, his sister, Esther Voges of Blue Earth, his three grandsons, ten step grandchildren and twelve step great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Loren Krieger and a sister, Alice Cahill.
