Craig Huntingtom

Craig Martin Huntington 62 of Blue Earth passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at St. Mary''s Hospital in Rochester.He was born February 12, 1949 in Waseca, MN to Marion and Jerome Huntington. He graduated from Sacred Heart Catholic High School in 1967. Craig attended Lee''s Barber College in St. Paul MN and graduated in 1968 as a licensed master barber. After graduation he worked briefly in Prior Lake as a barber before moving back to Waseca to take over his father''s barber shop.Craig moved to Blue Earth in 1980 and opened Huntington''s Barber Stylists and for a time operated Huntington''s Barbers in Fairmont. Craig was a barber his entire life and often said he loved going to work every single day. He also enjoyed showing and racing horses, trail riding and raising and driving mules. He was a long time member and board member of the South Central Minnesota Saddles Club Association, Western Saddle Clubs Association, and Frost Border Riders Saddle Club. Craig also belonged to the Minnesota Mule and Donkey Association and was a partner in ACK 1 Horse Racing.Craig married Karen Schoenrock of Waseca, MN in June 1969, and they had three children, Stacy Huntington Scofield (Stacey), Mandy Huntington Groe (Sean), Cash Huntington, one granddaughter Chloe Groe, two brothers; Kent (Nancy) Huntington of Owatonna, Dougie (Kathy) Huntington of Shakopee, three nieces and one nephew.Visitation will be Friday, December 23, 4:00 PM 8:00PM, at Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth, MN.
