Ivan K. Gesche

Ivan was born June 4, 1918, in Blue Earth, the son of Allen and Elvira (Gust) Gesche. He was raised and educated in the Elmore area where he was a 1936 graduate of Elmore High School. He earned his bachelors degree in History from McCallister College in Minneapolis. He returned home to the farm NE of Elmore and was soon married to Delna L. Schulz on June 14, 1944 at rural Minnesota Lake, MN. The couple farmed the family farm for many years before Ivan retired in 2003. Ivan was an avid reader, liked to dance and loved a good conversation with friends and family. Ivan is survived by his wife, Delna Gesche of Winnebago, his son, Paul (Rebecca) Gesche of Blue Earth, his son, Greg (Mary) Gesche of Merrill, Iowa, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Wesley Gesche and sister, Hazel Gesche-Weber.
