Iona Gartzke

Iona was born on September 14, 1918 in Faribault County, the daughter of Henry and Mary (Kammer) Ahrens. Iona was raised and educated in rural Blue Earth. She married Roland John Gartzke on November 29, 1936 in Jackson County. Iona was a life long resident of the Blue Earth area and she was an active member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Blue Earth. Iona is survived by her son, John (Janet) Gartzke of Blue Earth; 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Iona was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Rhonda Lunning, 4 brothers and 4 sisters.
